How does scanning work?

Point your camera at a paper receipt. Apple's on-device VisionKit reads the text in real time and Apple Intelligence assigns the ATO deduction category. Nothing is uploaded — every receipt stays on your device.

What's free vs. Pro?

The free tier covers 30 receipts per month with in-app totals. Receipts Pro unlocks unlimited receipts, BAS quarter reports, accountant-ready PDF + CSV export, the mileage tracker, Apple Wallet passes, and end-to-end-encrypted iCloud sync.

How much is Receipts Pro and how do I manage it?

Receipts Pro is an auto-renewing subscription: $9.99 / month or $59.99 / year (local equivalent shown at purchase). You can view, change, or cancel it anytime in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

How do I restore a purchase on a new device?

Open Settings → Restore purchases inside the app (or the “Restore” button on the upgrade screen) while signed in with the same Apple ID.

Where is my data stored?

On your device, via SwiftData. Optional iCloud sync is end-to-end encrypted by Apple — Lumenly never sees your receipts. There are no third-party servers, accounts, or analytics SDKs.

Is this tax advice?

No. Receipts is a record-keeping tool, not a registered tax agent, and is not affiliated with the Australian Taxation Office. You (or your registered tax agent) are responsible for final lodgement.
